World Batten's Disease Awareness Day Ireland

This Year Ireland will mark its second official World Battens Disease Awareness Day is a very special way. This years event is being held at The Kerry Way Killarney, (from 12.00 : 19:00)

Entry is free for all the family. The event will feature lots of live bands including traditional Irish jigs and reels, Kilkenny's Keltic Kats , SCUBA Dice and local bands from Cork & Kerry will also be be performing plus we are planning a special performance from a special guest or two.

Sports legends past and present will be turning up... and not to mention the presence of a Rose or Two!

Face painting, tug of war, dancing and lots of events for all ages will make the day enjoyable for all the familiy.

We want to use this event not only to raise awareness of this cruel disease but also to say thanks to all of our friends and supporterers and have a good old knee's up at the same time.

BBQ food and Pig on a Spit, plus grub for all diets will be available!

This year, the annual event falls on Saoirse's Heffernan's birthday, and she would have been six year's old had she not lost he battle with Batten's. So this will be an extra special day to all who knew and met Saoirse!.
