MASSIVE CONGRATS to TEAM ABBEY for your ongoing phenomenal support. You guys are AMAZING!

Over 200 BEE for Battens supporters took part in last weekends Run-A-Muck event in support of our Queen BEE Abbey and BEE for BATTENS disease. The event took place on the grounds of Clonkeeran House, Co. Kildare on Saturday, 17 October 2015 and boy, what a challenge it was!

Our Brave BEE for BATTENs team took on the 5K cross country event over a seriously wet and mucky course that included net scrambles, mud slides, tarzan swings, bridges, tyres and tunnels, ditches and bale jumps!

Team Abbey were definitely perished with the cold afterwards (the ice-cold water pools were no mean feat!) but that didn’t deter their good spirits, as they were taking on this challenge in support of one brave little girl, our incredible 4 year old Abbey. Mom Linda and dad John were without a doubt grand and mucky after the event, and sister Kaya was delighted with all the fun and games. ‘Happy Birthday Kaya’, who just turned 3 on the day after the challenge.

We are delighted to say that Team Abbey raised in excess of €6,000 from this Run-A-Muck event for BEE for Battens. THANK YOU SO MUCH to everybody who took part. You are absolutely incredible. Every single penny raised will go towards making a better future for our BEE for Batten’s Kids.  Each of YOU are INSPIRATIONAL!!!
